Our house is located in front of the St. Lawrence River and we rent two rooms with a personal bathroom for both rooms. Our own bedroom is on the same floor, but we access it by another stair and we have our own bathroom. This contributes to your privacy.
You will find the calm, peace and serenity. You just live with the river, its birds and the passing boats.
The St. Lawrence can get angry and he shows it with large waves during high tides.
If you ever want to have a barbecue, everything is at your disposal.
Québec city center is about twenty five minutes by car.

Summary: One of the most idyllic places on the earth! If we'd known, we would have stayed longer. We love Ile d'Orleans, and Dominique could not have been a better host. It was like staying with an old friend we hadn't met yet. We'll be back!

Summary: The location on the river was spectacular, the room was very comfortable and private, and the bathroom had a great shower. Dominique's home is filled with eclectic art, and he is a delightful conversation partner. Breakfast was delicious. Very highly recommended

Summary: Our family really enjoyed our stay! Dominique is a wonderful host and his house is very tastefully decorated with amazing art and antiques. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest during our stay, we enjoyed exploring the island and tasting the world famous strawberries, fresh goat cheese, sparkling cider and wine. Breakfast on our last morning was a highlight ... delicious food and coffee served riverside on a beautiful morning. Hope we are able to visit this special place again sometime in the future!

Summary: The house and property were lovely. Our rooms were very comfortable with lots of character. The house was filled with interesting art. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Summary: It's Île d'Orléans - and specifically Le Pingouin et la Brebis - a quiet gîte (lodging) right on the riverside of the St. Lawrence. Lovingly decorated and run by Dominique and Véronique, our stay only had one problem - it was way too short! If only we had a few more days to enjoy the lavish and delicious breakfasts, the views, and visits by the herons, egrets and yes, bald eagles! A big merci again to our hosts!

Summary: This is such a special spot! I am so grateful we were able to sneak in, as it is very popular. Our hosts were gracious, and the overall experience was beyond our expectations. The beautiful view, comfort of the space and breakfast (YUM) were all wonderful. Highly recommend.
